Our Mission: evangelistic Gospel-preaching & church-planting to the remote unevangelized peoples of Papua New Guinea.
Airstrip
We are planning to build an airstrip so that we can have direct access to the village of Moka. We are expecting/estimating to spend around $15,000 to construct this airstrip.
Village Mission House
The building materials will cost around $50,000. Getting the building materials to the village is about a third of that cost.
Hi everyone, this is Caleb & Melissa Gibello. The Holy Spirit has lead our family to live among the Moka people here in Papua New Guinea. Our long-term mission goals are to learn the language (Acts 2:8), preach the Gospel (Matthew 24:14), evangelize the surrounding villages (Luke 4:43; Luke 9:6; Acts 8:40), start local churches (The Book of Acts), translate the Scriptures, start a Bible school, do Operation Newborn, do medical work, and more.
But to begin with the main practical goal for 2018 is to get the Moka mission house built. Until that happens we will be living in a small “grass hut” type house, which will make our ministry in Moka difficult and give us less time for the ministry (since daily practical living will consume most of our time).
To get the mission house built is no small project though. We estimate that the total cost will be around $50,000. A third of that cost is just shipping the supplies to Moka via barge and plane (because it is so remote), and the building material will cost us double to triple of what it would in the States. If we can raise the funds through donations it would be wonderful to have the mission house constructed during the first half of 2018.
A few hundred people will probably read about this project, and if everyone who does would donate $100 or $200 then sufficient funds will be raised to pay for the construction of the mission house at Moka. Please donate to this project and please also forward this project to your contacts as well. Our prayer is that this mission house will be used by many missionaries over the years in order to get the Gospel established in Moka. Bill Issa
Church Planter – Kampala, Uganda. Bill is the pastor of Reconciliation Baptist Church in Kampala, Uganda's capital city, where he resides with his wife and five children. Bill is fluent in five languages and holds a B.A. in Bible and Theology from Pan Africa Christian University. He is working in close association with HeartCry's partners in Kenya.
Bill grew up being trained in the Islamic faith. When his parents found out he’d become a follower of Christ they tried to have him renounce his evil plans to quit Islam. When he refused they denied him as their child and orderd him to leave home. When they realized after all this that he still refused to abandon his newfound Christian faith they then tried to kill him. but the Lord was merciful and protected him.
“In November of 1986, there was a preacher from South Africa who came to Goma for a large, three-day Gospel crusade. Whenever the word of God was being preached, I could feel myself drawn to the stories of the Bible. the words of the preacher pierced my heart. I could hear him speak against the exact things that my friends and I had gone there to do (seduce girls). I could hear him talk about the wickedness of the very thoughts and plans that I had in my heart. As he was preaching, I wondered, who told this man all these things about me? On the second day, it was the same story, except this time I started to feel a certain fear within me. Whenever I wanted to pay more attention to the preaching, my friends would come and make fun of me. But at that moment, I was no longer concerned about girls. My heart was now full of many unanswered questions. At the end of the day, we returned to our respective homes, but I could hear a voice saying to me, “I am calling you. Why don’t you want to respond? I am the One who died for you. The time has come for you to glorify Me in your life.” This voice only served to increase the fear inside of me. On the third and final day, we returned with the same purpose in mind. By then, all of my friends had gotten girlfriends, and they were making fun of me because no girl had fallen in love with me. They didn’t realize that, instead, my heart was falling in love with my Creator. On that day, I listened to the preaching more attentively than before. The preacher was explaining several Scriptures, among them John 3:16, John 10:9-16, and Romans 3:23.
At that point I could hear two voices preaching to me at the same time: one voice from without and another voice from within. The preacher continued, “Come and make your final decision today. Your time is now! Don’t wait for tomorrow, for you may never reach tomorrow!” At that moment, I found myself in tears, and my body was shaking with fear. By the end of the sermon, I was more than ready to go and receive Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior of my life. After prayer, I was led into a room, where I found myself repenting of all my sins that I could remember. I did so with many tears.”
